birdshape was founded in 2020 by Arend Lauwers.

After obtaining a Master Degree in Law (KUL), his +23 years professional journey is marked by a rich tapestry of roles and experiences, from business analysis and strategic leadership to program management, product ownership and leading digital transformations. His expertise spans several key areas:

• Business Analysis and Strategy: shaping innovative digital customer experience solutions, developing omni-channel business strategies, and aligning them with enterprise architecture.

• Project and Program Management: he has a knack for turning concepts into tangible solutions, leading multi-disciplinary teams from inception to project delivery.

• Business Unit Management: with experience in daily people management of teams of up to 20 FTE, he knows how to bring out the best in his teams.

• Product Ownership: he has a history of managing and marketing business-critical B2C and B2B channels, driving product vision and success in the marketplace.

Professional Consultancy Experience

Arend has taken on numerous long-running consulting assignments, adding depth to his extensive professional journey in different sectors for organisations like Lecot, Metagenics, Etex, Test-Aankoop, Bosspaints, Distriplus, delaware, ING, Van Lanschot Bankiers and others.

Before venturing into consulting, Arend held management positions at AXA, with a focus on digital channels.
